ProBench V3 Update 10 --------------------- This is just a small update of some libraries. Just copy them over your previous installed ProBench 3 Update 9. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE TEXT!! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Libraries contained in this Archive: hrgblitter-spz.library (V42.3) hrgblitter-uni.library (V42.3) hrgrender.library (V42.8) hrgemu.library (V42.22) cyberprobench.library (V42.16) News ---- This will fix the 'serial' problem which occures for many users while using ProBench Update 9 with the ShapeShifter DIRECT-CGFX routines. You can now choose if you would the ShapeShifter enhanced blitter-routines or the more systemfriendly 'old' ones. So you don't have to swap the Update 8/9 Blitter libraries for using ShapeShifter. Installation ------------ Rename the needed version to 'hrgblitter.library' and copy it over you old version. If you are not sure which version you need use the 'hrgblitter-uni.library' or examine you installed one by calling 'version hrgblitter.library FULL'. There will be 'MERLIN-SPZ' or 'MERLIN-UNI' in the resulting output. Copy the remaining libraries over your current versions and restart your system. Maybe it is a good idea to first make a backup of your installed versions. It is NOT possible to use older versions of hrgblitter.library together with the other libraries in this update! You have to replace the complete set of libraries. SSMode V1.0 ----------- Update 10 introduces a ShapeShifter sensitive selection of the method the Hardware-Blitter works. The setting will be autom. changed if you running ShapeShifter and ShapeShifter support is enabled in ModeMaster. SSMode can be used to display the actual setting and to manipulate it manually if needed. viri_code.asm ------------- This Code-Snippet is the 'viri' like code which may be contained in some of the V43 sub-datatypes from earlier Picture-Datatype V43 installations. These will cause problems running ProBench together with the 'Picasso96' picture.datatype when using this sub-datatypes. If you can read asm-code, you maybe have fun by analysing it. This code modifies ProBench to not work properly in 16 Bit modes if any of such sub-datatype is used. Update 10 'corrects' this to protect us from bugreports regarding this problem. You have to remove this sub-datatypes or ASK the respective authors to use it. In case of questions please contact: "support@pro-dev.com" Even if you are not a Merlin user!
