Short: V2.1 MOD/MMD/THX player, browser support Author: Msi Software Uploader: Roger Hågensen Version: 2.1 Type: mus/play Replaces: comm/net/PtPlay.lha Distribution: Freely Distributable FreeWare The "Pleased to Play" modplayer v2.1 PtPlay was created to be used with filemanagers like DirWork/SID/Dopus, and www browsers like AWeb/IBrowse etc. One problem with other players is that you can not save a module, this is very important if you want to avoid reloading a mod you like just to save it, PtPlay support saving, so you only load the module once. PtPlay will also (if given) use the url of the file when saving the mod, this avoids weird cache names like AHT5550033.mod etc :-) Features: o Browser support (allows saving of mods while playing, using the urlname) o Plays MOD/MOD0/MMD0/MMD1/MMD2 and THX tracker modules. o Utils to convert between MOD/MOD0. o GUI that can be used on a user selectable screen. o Browser settings information. o Support for multimods (mods with more than 1 song in them) o Can be used as a normal player from WB/CLI o Has a nice GUI with volume/song options etc. o Little memory and cpu usage. Changes since last release! v2.1 - 11.10.1997 Updated PtPlay to use a new THX replayer. Tried to add some more or less smart routines to extract author and comment from instrument names, the first samplename that start with # is the author name, if the sample name after start with # it is the comment, MMD modules has a special annotation, if this has text it will be used rather than looking in the sample names, also adjusted the play and pause/stop controls. It will also while saving try to convert the extension from xxx.blabla to blabla.xxx and will use default extensions this is to comply with the standard way of all files having the extension as an extension, ThE sCeNe way of naming turns the mod name into the extension causing cut names when copying across plattforms. Fixed some spelling mistakes etc, in the guide. I even added some mods :-) 2 of them are by me and the THX one is by Kyzer the author of the AmigaE THX replayer interface, nice tune Kyzer :-) Roger Hågensen © Msi Software 1996-97 Email: "Msi Software " WWW: "http://home.sol.no/~msi/"
