                       FITTING A CERVICAL NECK COLLAR
  ------------------------------------------------------------------------

  1: If a cervical collar is not available to you, fold a newspaper to a
     width of about 10cm ( 4in ).

  2: Wrap it in triangular badage or insert it into a stocking or the 
     leg of a pair of tights.

  3: Place the centre of the collar at the front of the casulaty's neck
     below the chin.

  4: Fold the collar around the casualty's neck and tie in position at the
     front of the neck.

  5: Ensure that there is no obstruction to breathing.
