1996/97 Official Championship Datafile

As mentioned in the rules you will need to obtain the latest version of F1GP-Ed before you can participate.

You will also need the official championship datafile to use with F1GP-Ed. You are not permitted to alter this datafile except for settings that don't affect the performance/characteristics of your car or the computer cars - see the rules for more information on this.

You must use driver number 39 when participating in championship events. Obviously, you may alter the names and colours for your team and driver.

Registered F1GP-Ed users who have enough memory in their Amiga to use the local speed and risk factor patches in F1GP-Ed should use them. The alternative is that you must manually copy the respective speed and risk factor values (from the local speed and risk factor patch windows) into the global speed and risk factor settings in the team editor window before you start each round of the championship (i.e. for each circuit).

Note: unregistered F1GP-Ed users must use F1GP-Ed v3.22 (or higher) so that you can set the risk factors as described above.

You must start a race with at least 22 computer cars. Obviously, to have 22 computer cars at the race start needs the "Less cars in race" patch to be enabled. You may increase the "Max Teams" setting so you can start the race will a full 26 car grid if you really want to. Unregistered F1GP-Ed users (or if your Amiga doesn't have enough memory) don't have this choice though - it is only possible for you to start with a 26 car grid.
