At first glance, this game will bring back memories of Renegade on the 8-bit machines. However, it is much more, not only have the graphics taken a massive leap forward but also there are some big improvments in the gameplay.
As you can see from the screenshots dotted around this page the graphics are a big selling point of this game, these static shots don't really do them justice as the scrolling and animation is also excellent. Also most of the level graphics themselves are raytraced which also improves the general feel of the game.
The game itself takes part in eight different fighing arenas. It being your job to clear each arena of all the 'Strangers'. There are 32 different fighters in the game all with there own intelligence level. There are a hugh amount of moves in the game giving you the choice of how your going to beat your way to victory. As well as simple punching and kicking there is also going to be weapons included in the game, things like baseball bats, chains, hockey sticks will all be at the players disposal. However, due to the amount of moves that there are it is somewhat difficult to pull some of them off on a standard joystick. Hopefully there will joypad support in the game which will solve this problem.
One of the biggest features of ths game though, has to be the multiplayer aspect of it. The game supports upto 3 human players in normal fighting mode and upto 6 in the Deathmatch mode, 4 using joysticks/pads and 2 using the keys, as far as I know this is the first beat-em-up to allow this many players to play the game at once.

One thing from the above that does sound very good is the fatalities part, as you can see from the screenshot of one of these, they are quite disgusting. ;)
