(*) Gateway 2000: New Owners Of The Amiga (*)

Gateway 2000 are now the new owners of the Amiga.

Just incase you don't know; Gateway 2000 are one of the biggest PC companies in the world but Gateway 2000 plan to continue the Amiga platform with Amiga Technologies changing it's name to Amiga International and Petro Tyschtschenko will retain his positon as President.

Amiga International will be continuing to develop new products for the Amiga but with the financial backing of Gateway 2000, the Amigas future seems to be very much a bright one.
Gateway 2000 have even described the Amiga as the computer that led the industry in combining computer graphics, animation, and film sequences with stereo sound known today as multimedia.

Hopefully with Gateway 2000, they will be able to bring the Amiga back into the high street stores and get TV advertising. If they can do this then the Amiga will be back at its very best.
