Universal Command

Universal Command is a new game in the Supremacy genre. It is only just out of the planning stages but going just my the specs it looks like it could be good. The game will initially be developed for the Atari STE/Falcon computers, with the Amiga version being developed as this nears completion, as long as there is support for it. This is where you come in, if everyone who reads this mails the author giving him support and ideas for the project there is a good chance it will be developed.

Below is a list if what is planned for the game:-

Universal Command - 1997 Andy Robertson

Initial Specification

The game will be in the same a combination as Supremecy (AMIGA/ST) and Ascendency (PC) with arcade sections included (possibly a Command & Conquer type section)

This game will be Supremecy but a lot more involved and "hands on" with elements of Civilization.

There is no close detailed view of the planet yet, planets viewed (using 50x50 image in corner of screen) with economic and strategic information and statistics on the rest of the screen.

Arcade sequences planned:-

The player starts on a planet and explores the universe at their own speed, discovering the other corporations, alien races etc.. along the way. This way the game will have a much longer lastability because I can randomly generate the universe every time a new game is started.

Any other way for the game to run means that it is too restricted and I want to emphisise freedom to do what you want in this game. Any thoughts?

lotsa technology!!!
Thinking about ways to combine different bits of technology to create even more stuff (the more gadgets the better!!!). Like maybe different compounds for shielding or weaponary etc.. but they interact with each other... like sodium is fairly light but you don't want to use it anywhere near water :)
