Mutation moving development to PC
I recently cam across this press release from Mutation Software:-
Although things are a little bleak regarding the retail and distribution side
of Amiga games publishing, we are constantly monitoring the marketplace,
and do plan to continue development should this situation improve.
Mutation Software will revert once again to 'Developer Only' status, whilst
developing software for PC-CDROM. We have no plans to publish these PC based
titles ourselves, and will be attempting to sign with a suitable publisher at a later date.
Also at the time of this announcement being made, it may be possible that we
have found a new 'worldwide' distributor for our Amiga titles.
It makes quite sad reading, yet another Amiga developer leaves for the
PC market. Although they do mention they might come back I can't
really see this happening. You will still be able to buy the games
they have previously made from them, but there will be no new games
from them...
Mutation Software now plans to shift development of new projects over to PC-CDROM.
Although we regret having to make this move, we will still be supporting the
Amiga with our current range of games in the Value 'n' Fun Series.
