|RNature and climate:|N Consists of the Midway Atoll, Eastern Island and Sand Island. Though the westernmost part of the Hawaiian chain they are not a part of the Hawaii State.
The US Navy along with the Fish and Wildlife Service jointly manage the islands as a National Wildlife Refuge.
|RPeople:|N No indigenous population, only Navy and other officials live here.
|REconomy:|N Support of the naval air facilities.
