Ylang-Ylang accounts for 48% of exportincomes, vanilla for 33% and coffee for 12%. |RHistory:|N Mayotte was a French colony from 1843, from 1914 administrated through the government-general of Madagascar. In 1974 the inhabitants of the other three Comoro Islands voted for independence. The Mayotte-people voted against independence and in 1976 it became a Territorial Collectivity.
