Short: 2.70.6.4 (91-97) Amiga Rev. 0.32 by Sauron Uploader: sauron@sun1000.ci.pwr.wroc.pl Author: sauron@sun1000.ci.pwr.wroc.pl Type: gfx/show Version: 0.32 REMEMBER !!! This XAnim requires X11 server - so you have to get it from: ftp.ninemoons.com /pub (main Amiga Developers Environment server) you can get there FULL X11 server archive (32 MB unarchived) or: http://www.wroc.ids.edu.pl/~agnen X11 archive (only MOST needed files) (4.3 MB unarchived) but everything to run XAnim (EVERYTHING !) This XAnim still don't have a sound support and it is STILL the only program for Amiga that can play >> IntelIndeo <<. This version is much better then 0.31 (less buggy, faster, shorter) and have CYUV decoder. Now you can get from my WWW, X11 archive that is enought to be used with that XAnim (4 MB it's not so much !) and wait for new XAnim or perhaps few other programs with IntelIndeo support (we are working on it). 1) Requirements XAnim - Amiga with 020+ - X11 server - ixemul.library X11 server - Amiga with 020+, 4MB memory - 4.3 MB on HD It may look a bit strange but easiest way is to download this archive and get X11 server from http://www.wroc.ids.edu.pl/~agnen THATS ALL !!! 2) What's inside ? 3 versions of XAnim for 020, 020+FPU and 040, some docs for UNIX version (read it !) and this readme file. 3) What this XAnim can play XAnim 2.70.6.4 supports the following Animation/Video/Audio formats: + FLI and FLC animations. + IFF animations/images. + Color cycling during single images and anims. + IFF Compressions Supported: + Anim3 + Anim5 + Anim7 + Anim8 + AnimJ (Movies) + Animl + Following Amiga display modes are supported: + normal (Bit-Planes) depth 1-8. + EHB (Extra Half-Brite) depth 6. + HAM (Hold And Modify) depth 6 and 8. + GIF87a and GIF89a images/animations. + single and multiple images supported. + GIF89a animation extensions supported. + a kludgy text file listing gifs and what order to show them in. + DL animations. The old way and the new way. Unfortunately, it is impossible for a software program to distinguish between the two. If it sounds bad, use the +k2 option to tell XAnim to use the Old DVI ADPCM Format. k is for kludge by the way. 4) And now thx. go to ;) Mark Podlipec - podlipec@ici.net (author of that magnificent program) http://xanim.va.pubnix.com/home.html http://smurfland.cit.buffalo.edu/xanim/home.html http://www.tm.informatik.uni-frankfurt.de/xanim/ All people that created ADE http://www.ninemoons.com/ Feel free to send me EMails (but think twice before that) sauron@sun1000.ci.pwr.wroc.pl = sauron@pwr.wroc.pl or (but use first one) sauron@sco.zsi.pwr.wroc.pl = sauron@zsi.wroc.pl
