--- Pinball Dreams Hard Disk Installer, Loader, and Fix ---

This installer requires the Pinball Dreams ORIGINAL disks (there are 2).
It will not work for cracked versions.

The HD-Patched game will need about 2Mb of fast memory.
It should work on ALL Kickstarts and ALL CPUs (up to '060).
Report me any bugs you'll find.

INSTALL:

1. Copy this directory whereever you want to
2. Go in the directory and run the rippinball program (follow the instructions)
3. Check that you've got the 3 files pdreams.d1,pdreams.d2, and HI00.
4. If all OK, delete the rippinball program, it's now useless
5. Adjust the different tooltypes if necessary
6. Click the PinballHD icon to start the game


NOTE: To be able to run the rippinball program, you need at least 1.5MB of fast memory.

Sorry the installation procedure and the ripping program are a bit ugly but they works.

This loader gave me a lot of work. The hardest I've ever made. But it's worth, as it
is very popular, and many people own the original, so they deserved such a program.
I hope you'll enjoy it (don't hesitate to drop me a line if you do).


FEATURES:

- Runs fully from HD/RAM
- Fixes to allow to run the program on accelerator boards
- Hiscores saved on HD (disable it with NOOSSWAP)
- Rotten install program (Sorry)
- ESC quits to workbench while in the menu

IMPORTANT:

- Be sure to leave the DELAY tooltype for the install part if you've got
  a screen promoter. See the file 'hdloaders.readme' for details.
- HDLOAD tooltype allows in-game HD loading (saves memory).
- NOOSSWAP implies no HDLOAD
- You can edit the HI00 file to change the names and the scores.
  That's not fair but... If you damage or erase the file, don't worry,
  as the game has got its default scores.

I could play the 4 tables without any problems.

This patch can be distributed freely, but I'd appreciate that you drop me a line
if you include it in a coverdisk or PD collection.

However, FFD (France Festival Distribution) is not allowed to include it in any
of its PD disks (if you read usenet in fr.comp.sys.amiga, you'll know why).
It's the only exception for the distribution.
