F117A Nighthawk Real 3D Object ------------------------------ By James Boyd - Public Domain ----------------------------------- This disk contains (believe it or not) a Real 3D Stealth Fighter object with associated materials, done using the Amiga Format version of Real 3D (1.4?). It is by no means technically accurate, but it does the job and looks pretty good when rendered... To use it: 1) Load Real 3D,load in the "F117A_Stealth(R3D)" object from this disk, 2) Choose "Materials > Load" and select the "materials" directory from this disk, 3) Load the "Materials" file. 4) Click on the page thingy at the top right of the screen to get to Workbench, open the "Materials" directory and drag the "MaterialPix" directory into RAM: (I've done this to avoid any problems with assigns/disk names etc. 5) Render away. * I can't for the life of me get the object to centre on the screen when it loads,so zoom out ( - key ) to find it! Also on this disk are a picture created from the rendered object ,a very short animation (not amazing, but it lets you see the object!),which took HOURS on an A500 (originally 75 frames)! Of course I now have an A1200/030 which would have made very short work of it! Click on the icons to view them.I've used Viewtek which I've included according to its distribution notes (also included). Oh,by the way..if you can't see the Stealth when you render it, try using a background which isn't black (which is the Stealth's colour!)...took me ages to work this one out! Happy,er,rendering...
