Short: SuperView V5.81 + Library 16.2 (28.2.97) Author: Andreas_Kleinert@t-online.de Uploader: Andreas_Kleinert@t-online.de Type: gfx/show Replaces: SViewFix580.lha Program Description and Distribution Concept -------------------------------------------- SuperView (EL - evaluation version), a localized graphics viewer, converter, editor and screen-grabber based on SuperView-Library, with ARexx support, GUI, AmigaGuide online-help, Commodity-functionality and many more features. SHAREWARE (evaluation version). What's *new* in this version -------------------------- - several *important* bug fixes to SuperView - several *important* bug fixes to the SuperView-Library e.g. for PNG, JPEG, Ghostscript and the library itself - and more... Description of Features and Requirements ---------------------------------------- Nearly anything is managed by object-oriented external modules for loading, saving (SVObjects), displaying (SVDrivers) and processing (SVOperators) graphics - converting graphics and "screen-grabbing" also is possible in a very comfortable way. Only requires OS V2.04 and 68000, but also makes use of available OS V2.1 and V3.x features and 680x0 module versions. Includes licensed SuperView-Library, which supports the following file formats, periphal devices, display drivers and image processing operators: ->>>> Total of 42 different graphic file formats <<<<- ->>>> Total of 2 different periphal devices <<<<- ->>>> Total of 8 different graphic display systems <<<<- ->>>> Total of 32 different graphic operators <<<<- SVObjects: - IFF-ACBM - Windows,OS/2 BMP - PNM (PBM,PGM,PPM) - IFF-ILBM - JPEG (JFIF v6) - IMG (GEM Graphics) - IFF-DEEP - PhotoCD - WPG (WP Bitmaps) - IFF-PBM - TIFF - MacPaint MAC - IFF-RGB8 - PCX - EPS (Header/PS) - IFF-YUVN - Atari Degas - C64 (Koala, Doodle) - FBM - Windows Icon - CDR-Previews - QRT/POV Raytrace - Mac PICT-2 - SGI - SVG - Targa - Pictor/PCPaint - SunRaster - UtahRLE - PNG as well as all OS3-Datatypes and 24 Bit DataTypes (picture.datatype V43). Many formats with 24 Bit-Support. Reads XPK- and PP20-packed data via Unpack.svobject. Writes C-Sourcecode in chunky/RGB notation. Together with external third party programs also the following file formats seamlessly can be embedded: File Format needs program also needs support for --------------------------------------------------------- - AMF MetaView (ILBM) - DXF/AutoCAD (tm) MetaView (ILBM) - FIG AmiFIG (Postscript) - CGM GPlot (Postscript) - IFF-DR2D MetaView (ILBM) - Limbo Limbo 4.0 (PNM) - Postscript (TM) Ghostscript - - WPG-Vector MetaView (ILBM) - WMF MetaView (ILBM) Devices (via SVObjects): - Scanner (scanner.device of ScanQuix) - Printer (printer.device support; uses own 24 Bit dithering) SVDrivers : - OCS/ECS - AGA - EGS7 - OpalVision - Retina - CyberGraphX - PicassoII - Merlin (Picasso96 yet via CyberGraphX or PicassoII API) SVOperators : - Dither24Bit - 24BitToHAM - HilbertDither256 - ExtractRed - ExtractGreen - ExtractBlue - XOR - ExtractGrayScales - TopToBottom - LeftToRight - Rotate - Scale50 - AnyTo24Bit - Crop - CallPNM - OptimizePalette - RotateFree - PaletteDither plus the following from Steve Quartly: - SQBentley - SQTiling - SQThreshold - SQOilPaint - SQMosaic - SQEmboss - SQSlicing - SQDiffuse - SQContrast - SQSharpen - SQBlur - SQDeep_Press - SQMotion_Blur - SQHighPass PROGRAM-CHANGES: ================ V5.81 (28.2.97): - Library 16.2 - changed guide file - will no longer report "unregistered version" when exit'ing because of a missing library (-> Edwin H. Bielawski) - superview.library opening failure would have claimed, that "V15+" was missing, this actually should have been "V16+" (-> C. Davis Sprague, Edwin H. Bielawski) - when started from WB, SuperView always did open a file requester; now you have to specify the tooltype "REQUEST" for that (-> Marc-Tell Volkmann) LIBRARY-CHANGES: ================ V16.2 (28.2.1997) : ------------------- - SVObjects: - PNG: - fixed reader and updated information as well - JPEG: - no longer rejects JFIFs written by Adobe Photoshop (TM) - Ghostscript: - better, more stable now - LIBRARY: - Datatypes info requester did produce various enforcer hits sometimes (-> Edwin H. Bielawski) - when a required library was missing (for example superviewsupport.library), an uninitialized semaphore would have caused an enforcer hit later on (-> Edwin H. Bielawski) - fixed V43 Datatype 8 Bit odd-width mungwall hit (have fixed this a thousand times at different places, but appears again and again) - also with datatype loading (V39-43), internal 32 pixel alignment restrictions turned out to be adapted to the resulting gfxbuffer as well, which resulted in "empty" borders when importing picture (changed width). This one did affect PNG-Box in the very first place. (-> Edwin H. Bielawski) - MISC: - thanks to Ali Graham, who did mention the correct english version of the Terry Pratchett quote, for my guide file header :-) ***************************************************************************** ** Please support SHAREWARE and register NOW to receive YOUR KeyFile !! ** *****************************************************************************
