A note from a user of the Database utility:

This program grew out of a late night phone conversation between Roger and
Myself. I wondered if having some sort of function that would allow you to
compile a list of files in your bbs filelist, and then when you recieve a
Frequest search that list, instead of thrashing your HD would be better and
faster. Well, Roger, being the sort of guy that when he goes to the
bathroom, pisses in ARexx, was back at me in 30 minutes with the DATABASE
concept. The best way to use this is to enable the DATABASE keyword in
QSilver.CFG, so Qsilver knows to search the database instead of the whole
HD, and have the DATABASE program run once a day off of a scheduler or cron
event.

Here is my entry in TPTCrons CronTab:

00 08 * * 0-6 Database Mail:Qsilver/Qsilver.cfg

12:08     every day  it runs Database <Mail:Bin is in the logical path>
<Pointed to the .cfg file which is QSilver.cfg>

I will say this: since I started using the database functions, especially
when I was NC2606 and recieved lots of freqs, I recieved many comments
about the rapid speed of frequing off of my system. It works very well for
me. I feel it will work as well for you, especially if you have a large
file area. Both you and your HD will love this feature.
