Greetings and salutations. :)

Yup... I just noticed that file in the distribution a couple of days ago.

Here is my modem setup in Jammail:

-------------
JamMail.Wpl Creator by James McOrmond
                         Configure Line #1's Modem

   1. Modem Name: "GVC_14.4_FaxModem"
   2. Hangup String: "v~^"
   3. Attention String: "at|"
   4. Init String: "at+fdcc=1,3,0,2+fclass=0|~at+fcr=1+faa=1|"
   5. Slow Modem: "TRUE"
   6. Answer String: "ATA|"
   7. Default Dial: "atdt"

GVC_14.4_FaxModem (line 1) Response Strings

      1. BUSY "BUSY" 2. LINE "NO DIALTONE"
      3. FIND "CONNECT " 4. FAX "+FCON"
      5. 300 "CONNECT" 6. RING "RING"
      7. MAID "NO CARRIER"

-------------

As you can see, the init string as to setup the fax stuff. ATZ resets them
to defaults that don't work. Jammail doesn't show you the second AT
command in the modem window, but it will go through. I have it set to
slow-modem because it doesn't wait for the OK from the modem before sending
the second string. (Something I should tell Jammy about.)

GVC modems are class 2 command-set compatible, so you need to use +FCON for
the connect string.

If you still don't get it working, let me know and I'll help you with it.
