MasterISO Changes
MasterISO v1.25
- added support for the Sony CDU-924 CD-R drive.
- added support for the TEAC CD-R50 CD-R drive.
- fixed problem when generating ISO images from very deep directory
structures.
- added Kickstart v2.0 support.
- 68000 support added.
- when generating an ISO image, the General Information page will
be selected automatically.
- additional testing configurations added to the compatibility list.
- updated Installer routine to account for KS 2.0 compatibility.
MasterISO v1.24b
- will now recognize 2x write JVC drives as Pinnacle drives
(or more technically, Pinnacle drives are recognized as JVC drives).
MasterISO v1.24
- added support for the Pinnacle Micro RCD 5020 CD-R drive.
- fixed problem when generating CDTV boot blocks using the CDTV.tm
file.
- the Add Source function will now properly compare mixed case strings
(ie. "File" and "file" will be considered the same).
MasterISO v1.23
- added support for the Pinnacle Micro RCD 5040 CD-R drive.
- fixed problem with the read buffer being overwritten with source files
approximately 1.57MB in length.
- fixed font problem with About requester.
- fixed font problem in Date requester.
- when converting AIFF mono files to CDDA stereo, MasterISO will now
truncate uneven AIFF files. Previous action was to abort the conversion,
forcing the user to manually truncate the files.
MasterISO v1.22
- added support for the Pioneer DW-S114X CD-R drive.
- added support for the Philips CDD2000 CD-R drive.
- added support for the HP 4020 CD-R drive.
- will now recognize Plasmon CD-R drives.
- will now write audio tracks with pre-emphasis disabled (Pioneer,
Philips and Yamaha series).
MasterISO v1.21b
- will now recognize Kodak and Smart & Friendly CD-R 2000 drives
as a Philips CD-R drive.
MasterISO v1.21a
- If no preference file is found, the below "UprCse Pathtbl?" flag is
forced on, making MasterISO's behavior consistent with previous versions.
MasterISO v1.21
- By default, MasterISO will convert all the entries in the PathTable
(the directory table) to upper case. This is done to preserve
compatibility with some other operating systems. The unfortunate
result is that all directoy names appear in upper case when accessed
with AsimCDFS. That is, at a shell prompt, you would find the pathname
as INNOVATIONS:ISO/MASTERISO1.21 instead of Innovations:iso/masteriso1.21) An
option called "UprCse Pathtbl?" (short form for "Upper Case PathTable?")
has been added to the Primary Volume Descriptor page that will control
this action. If selected, the names in the PathTable will be converted to
upper case, as was the default action in previous versions. If this flag is
unselected, then the PathTable entries will appear in mixed mode,
suitable for the Amiga. Please note that some systems other than Amiga will
not be able to handle the mixed mode path tables. The best solution for this
situation is for MasterISO and AsimCDFS to support the RockRidge extensions,
which will be coming soon.
MasterISO v1.20
- Added support for the Sony CDU-920 CD-R drive
MasterISO v1.19
- The 'SCSI Lister/Inquire' window used for selecting SCSI devices
now supports multiple SCSI boards of the same manufacturer. Board 0
is access as default, while board #1 and up are selectable via the menu.
- The 'Volume Size' text gadget now shows the correct number of
sectors after building an ISO Image (either SCSI or DOS file)
- added a 'Clear Cue' gadget to the Write CD-R disc function that will
delete all the track listings.
- added a gadget to display the total time of all the tracks that will
be written to a disc.
- A problem that may have resulted in a guru when the read buffer became
empty during a write procedure was corrected.
- Fixed font problem in the date requester.
- Added support for the Pinnacle RCD-1000 CD-R drive. Currently,
with this drive, our software will only write discs that contain
a single type of track -- only data tracks or only audio tracks.
MasterISO will not write discs that contain both audio and data
tracks.
MasterISO v1.18
- When a valid ISO Image has been generated, MasterISO will now
display the size of the image in the 'Volume Size' text gadget, expressed
in both MB and sectors.
- An option to write using a smaller individual buffer size has been
added -- this assists people with different hardware configurations
when using the Pinnacle RCD-202 drive.
If you experience errors while writing discs with the Pinnalce RCD-202
with the hard drive connected to the same SCSI-II controller, you may
wish to set the buffer size to 128K, instead of 512K. This is done
via the 'Set Write Buffers' option. In addition, the 'Delay Time'
must be decreased. A value of 5 / 100ths of a second is appropriate
for 128K buffers when writing data discs. A value of 6 / 100ths of
a second is appropriate for 128K buffers when writing audio discs.
Users of other CD-R drives may use this option, but our experience
has shown that the 512K buffer size is adequate.
- The 'Convert AIFF-Stereo to CDDA' option did not operate correctly.
This is now fixed.
- The 'Convert AIFF-Mono to CDDA' option has been optimized and now
processes the files at an acceptable rate.
- A new function, 'Convert MAUD to CDDA' has been added that will
convert MacroSystemUS MAUD 16-bit stereo sound files to CDDA. The
operation is similar to the AIFF function.
- The cue list of tracks in the Write CD-R Disc function is now saved
in the default settings file (via the Save Settings function).
- Support for the Philips CDD-522 drive has now been added. This drive
does not require the use of the 'Delay Writes?' option.
