Cubic - Conceptual proposals for the next generation PowerPC Amiga interface Gadtools: Gadtools was a major step forward for the Amiga when it was introduced in OS2.x, it made developers standardize their programs interfaces, and a standard look slowly started to appear that was far better than the horrid incarnations that some developers dreamt up with no idea of what their program should look like, and more importantly FEEL like (an area of interface design often overlooked) The only problem with Gadtools as it stands is its lack of gadget designs to choose from and their flexibility. Although there is an alternative; BOOPSI (Basic Object Orientated Programming for Intution) but BOOPSI doesn't cater for one very important factor; lack of interface design experience, so either BOOPSI should be easier to impliment, with the OS helping out, or Gadtools should offer more for the programmer. Shown are a selection of either new ideas to the Amiga or enhancements over existing gadgets.
