The Squirrel Range

Introducing a new range of quality, value-for-money SCSI peripherals for your Amiga and Atari computer. The Squirrel Storage Systems range includes hard drives, CD-ROMs, the new Zip drive and many other modern SCSI devices, all brand-new and fully warranted.

Why Use SCSI?

SCSI (pronounced skuzzy) stands for Small Computer System Interface and is an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) protocol for the connection of peripherals to computers. Being a standard, this means that any SCSI peripheral can be connected to any computer as long as a SCSI interface is fitted to the computer. SCSI allows up to 7 devices to be daisy-chained together on to the one interface, thus allowing flexible expansion of your storage needs. In addition, SCSI is fast, far faster, in most cases, than an equivalent IDE peripheral.

Storage as you want it

Using various drives from top-name suppliers we have put together a wide range of storage solutions to suit most requirements. You can have a CD-ROM today, a 1Gb hard drive when you've filled your current one with those exciting PhotoCDTM images, a Zip for backing-up the new hard drive, a scanner for your own hi-res scans etc.

We use only drives from top-names such as Toshiba, Quantum, Sony, Iomega and Aiwa; high-performance, fully-warranted SCSI 2 devices with up-to-date integrated circuit technology, resulting in a compact size, superb performance and high reliability. SCSI Interface

Please note that, unless you already have one, you will need a SCSI interface in order to use any Squirrel SCSI device on all platforms including Amiga, Atari and IBM-PC. See the back page for full information on SCSI interfaces and accessories available from HiSoft.
