C.L.Index I would like here to just say a few words about C.L.Index. C.L.Index is a reference guide to AmigaDOS C commands and many principles. It also includes a beginners' tutorial, so it does not in any way claim to be an experts' reference guide. I am not an AmigaDOS expert so I am not really qualified to do an experts' manual! 8^) I suggest that if you are an absolute beginner you read chapter seven of the "Using The Amiga Workbench" manual to familiarise yourself with the basics as well as reading through and using the three tutorials * . The place where C.L.Index best fits in the AmigaDOS help disks is the section of the user guide that lists the commands. I am sure you will agree it is not the most helpful of lists and it is certainly not designed for beginners! So C.L.Index is a replacement for that list. Not only does it include nearly all the commands in the Kickstart ROM and nearly all the commands in the Workbench C directory, it also covers some of the more common PD utilities you will find in the C directory of some disks. Plus, many commands are on the disk for you to try out in a small Shell window at the bottom of the screen! * IF YOU HAVE AN A1200 YOU WILL NOT HAVE THIS MANUAL! To load any information, just double click on the icon. I have tried to keep the arrangement of help files the same as that in the "Using The Amiga Workbench" manual so you can look things up first in that then move to this list when you get stuck. Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy using C.L.Index Michael Richmond
