FLAME TEST ANIMATION by Gary Poore - Only requires 1Mb to run. - Originally rendered in 24bit. - I was playing around with a few textures and trying to get a decent flame effect to come out the back of the ships I was building. After many hours of editing and rendering, rendering, re-rendering and some more editing I managed to get something I was pleased with. - To accomplish this I used the very versatile WRINKLE texture that comes with Imagine 3. Use a large value along the axis which follows the length of the flame and the smaller values for the other two axis. Use the colour options within the texture to give it the appropriate look and set the noise functions to whatever you want. Give the flame a fog attribute and apply the GHOST texture to make it fade out at the edges. To make it fade as it gets further away from the source, apply the FOGTOP texture. Make this a state and then play around with the noise functions of WRINKLE and move the texture axis back to give the impression of movement when it is morphed. Save this as a second state the get animating. - I was going to use the SHREDDER F/X as I did in my previous animation but it seemed to crash my machine, so I had to make do with the PARTICLES F/X which is not quite as good for the particular job. - All the objects built were built by me and are therefore mine. - The HAM8 version of this animation took up 1.5Mb and is availible. - Gary Poore 3 Little Warton Rd, Warton, Tamworth, Staffs.
