I have a tube with three axis grouped, small and big sub-groups assigned. In the detail editor everything is great. Bones updated no problem. In the detail editor I have animated the tube bending to the right and then the left. Looks great, no problems. When I load this object into the Stage editor however really wierd things happen. As the tube rotates from left to right, the end of it scales way down as it rotates. It always ends up at the right state but the way it gets there is all wrong. I have created three different tubes trying shape vs grouping and always the same results. A wierd shrinking scaling phenomonon. I am using IFW CUP version 1.3.4. Please note, I have a default state with Grouping and Shape checked. I do not use the default state in the stage editor. I have grouping checked for the Base state and Right bend, Left bend states. I am about ready to load version 1.0 back onto my system and see if it does the same thing. As I said, the object behave's perfectly in the detail editor. Any Ideas? ---------------------------------- Date: Thu, 26 Mar 1998 00:12:07 -0800 From: Clae & Deborah Tanett Hi Andrew Clae here Check your States If your going from a States Shape/Grouping to Shape/Grouping it will do what you described. It wont show up in the Detail Ed but in the Stage Do this and see make a DEFAULT State of Shape/Grouping Then a REST State of just Grouping the States you'll be moving from and to with the 'Grouping' option only. ----------------------------------
