Opus POP3 Module ---------------- New in this release ------------------- - Bugfix: Project menu will now work right, selected server was being wiped before Disclaimer ---------- This is a beta release and is not the work of GP Software, this means you should not contact them for advice or in the event of a problem/bug. Being beta, this means there are no guarantees and losses cannot be held responsible to the author. Important Notes --------------- 1. Currently a destination lister needs to be open to use the "Copy" command which downloads the selected mails, the path of this lister will not be used however, this will change in a future release. Should a lister not be open the path requester will appear, select a path and the download will commence. 2. The module currently uses ClassAct for the GUI, you should have the classes installed, a neccesary class "Requester.class" is included in this archive, it needs to be installed before use. Future versions may use the internal Opus classes, but this is a large conversion job. Instructions & Commands ----------------------- The following opus commands are added by the module: OpenMail - Opens the mail module gui, takes no arguments ListMail <1-10> - Opens a lister and connects to the server number given, ie. "ListMail 1" would connect to the first server in the list. The following opus commands are supported by the module: Copy - Downloads the selected mails Delete - Deletes the selected mails Move - Downloads the selected mails then deletes them. ScanDir - Rereads the mail listing, lister closes if there's no mail Other Functions --------------- Doubleclicking a mail will view the headers and the amount of lines of the mail set in the Options 'Message lines to fetch' gadget. If the number of lines to fetch exceed the number of lines in the message the download will fail. Control and double clicking a mail will view that mail, to provide a safety net for accidental double clicking a maximum message size in bytes is set in the Options page. messages above this size won't be downloaded when you double click. Temporary files for viewing are written in T:, make sure you have enough ram to download. Spam Highlighting ----------------- The string gadget in options page lets you enter 20 words, phrases or names that will be checked against the Subject, To and From fields of a mail. You need only enter a word, there is no need for wildcards ie. spam not #?spam#?. There are three levels of highlighting, 1-5 matches 5-10 and 10 and above. If you enable the 'Auto Delete Spam' checkbox you can then set the value of matches that if equaled or exceeded will cause the program to automatically delete and not add the mail into the listers display. CAUTION: Only use the AUTO DELETE SPAM function if you are quite confident that the words you enter can only match spam mail. Contact ------- Author: G. Jones Gi@disa.co.uk gi@gj-cent.demon.co.uk
