Short: "A68k" now 'by user request' - this is V3.03 Uploader: willik@bellatlantic.net (Willi Kusche) Author: Charlie Gibbs w/ enhancements, bug fix by W. Kusche Type: dev/asm Replaces: A68kEnh.lha Requires: "dev/asm/a68k271.lzh" for documentation of original version This is the third enhancement of "A68kN" made in response to requests from users. The original "A68kN" was created by adding a number of 68020+ instructions to the "A68k" available in "a68k271.lha". Version 3.01 was created by adding the 'MOVEC' instruction, in response to a request from Simon Goodwin. Version 3.02 was created as a result of fixing a bug reported by Elmar Plischke. Version 3.03 was created as a result of a request by Carl Eric Codere. The following paragraphs are a repeat of information included in prior versions: I have been programming in assembly language on all kinds of computers since 1959. Shortly after I acquired an Amiga 1000, I discovered Charlie Gibbs' "A68k" and have been using it ever since. I built up a collection of many, many lines of assembly language over the years. After using an Amiga 3000 for a period of time but without using any of the additional operation codes or modes available in the 68030 CPU, I kept hoping that Charlie Gibbs would update his assembler so I could play with the new instructions/modes. After a period of time with no new version of "A68k" becoming available, I tried using various versions of "PhxAss" on some of my assembly language source files without success. Even though I am not a "C" language programmer, I decided to see if I could take the "C" source files that C. Gibbs released along with "A68k" and modify them to bring "A68k" up to date. The "A68kN" that is part of "A68kEnh.lha" is the result of those efforts. The enhancements are not complete but I decided to release what I've done so far to see if there's anyone out there who would urge me to continue my work on "A68kN". So, if you want me to keep working on this project, please send me Email at "willik@bellatlantic.net".
