WebLord

WebLord

The Site Construction Power Tool

WebLord's Future

The following is a short list of just some of the features that are planned (or being considered) for WebLord. If you have strong opinions about any of them (or items not listed here) please feel free to email me!

  • Graphic User Interface (GUI)
  • Enhanced recursion detection and related problem diagnostics
  • More powerful (boolean) expressions for the 'if' property
  • Definitions of SITE object properties through program arguments
  • Direct access to environment variables (currently possible through external commands)
  • Built-in date/time manipulation (currently provided through 'Now' program)
  • A set-oriented debugging method, instead of level-oriented, for finger debugging control
  • Improved Workbench support (recognize project icon arguments)

When will the next version of WebLord be available?

Some of the features above may appear in months to come in subsequent 1.x releases; announcements will be made by email to all who have purchased WebLord. Major features (such as the GUI) will not be available until version 2.0, probably in early 1998.

What about the PowerPC-Amiga?

As soon as I can get my hands on a PowerPC based Amiga, I will certainly produce a PowerPC version of WebLord! Of course, the time frame may well be influenced by how well WebLord sells, so spread the word, rather than the software! :-)
