Tyrol is an area in the eastern Alps, divided between Italy and Austria. The largest city in Tyrol is Innsbruck. Tyrol is a mountainous area, with many valleys and lakes. At the end of World War I, southern Tyrol was given to Italy as part of an agreement with the other Allies.
