Leningrad is the second largest city in Russia. Until 1914 it was named Leningrad but from 1914-24 the name was changed to Petrograd. From 1730 to 1918 it was the capital of Russia but in 1919 <l:ec_moscow> became capital city again. The harbour is very important to the civilians as well as for naval purposes.
