Manny Morales Saves Mandaue! "It was just incredible" said the neighbors. In the midst of the great hurricane Manny Morales single handedly saved Mandaue City in unbeleivable feats of bravery and endurance. As ships were getting dashed in the harbors and the water level rose to great heights Manny was seen saving people by the hundreds with his little side kick Pepita! As Manny swam feverishly through the turbulent waters Pepita gave directions while perched ont the top of his head. Pepita was able to find and locate all the Morales family members with pinpoint K-9 accuracy. And with this dynamic duo the famous city of Mandaue, and the wonderful Morales family, were saved from the anger of the terrible living happily ever after. The town's people united in celebration erecting a golden stutue of Manny Morales right next to the long standing edifice of the "former" national hero Jose Rizalo. HELLO EVERYONE!!!!!! How is my favorite family in the Philippines?!! Well it is the holiday season and time for me to come out of hiding in my busy work and write a nice letter to you all. I guess that you must have wondered "What ever happened to Donald"? Well I'm A-OK in my little town of Crockett and much better now that i know that all of you are safe and sound ofter the big hurricane. You know I heard about the hurricane some time back but when it was first reported it was not mentioned as being other than a typical storm in that area. Then a few weeks passed and the San Francisco news paper showed photos of the ships damaged in the harbors and told the story of the Mactan bridge. It was then that i really began to worry a lot. I can't beleive that it took so long for the actual news of what happened to get to the papers here. I went home that night really worried about you all and hoping that you were all safe. I had worried that some one in the family might have drowned or something. I was really fearing the worst. Yet underneath all the worry I had a feeling that you would all be ok even though the times must have been very rough. In my heart I had a feeling that the if anyone could make it through a tough time it would be my favorite family the Morales's. Then the very next day I received the wonderful letter from my sweet Guen. And even though the photos should a lot of damage to and further told the story of what had happened I was SO HAPPY to finally realise that in fact you all were ok. It was such a releif. How is the little store? And is the refrigerator ok? Did any of you become ill or was anyone hurt because of the storm? please let me know ok? mI really want to know. I know you might think that I am a little over concened when I ask this next thing but I really would like to know how Pepita and her puppies are. Did they make it ok through the big storm. I worry so much that one of the puppies may have drowned. They are so low to the groung and the water came up so high. I really hiope that all of you are really doing ok and I also want to appologise with all my heart for not being able to respond to you sooner. You have been in my heart each and every day and my mingd never wanders from you. You all have a very special place within my heart and I must admit that if something bad were to happen to ANY of you it would be a big burden for me. So please let me know how you all are ok? i figured that since Guen was able to send me the news paper article that at least the compant was still running. And Guen also told me that she was in classes though they were a bit held up because of the storm. But apparently the school is still functioning ok so I things have coming back to normal. Can you tell me what provisions are being made since the damage was dome to the Mactan Bridge? From wehat i understand a Japanese ship collided with the bridge and rendered it unusable. Are ships carrying things across the harbor as a result of the damage. I know the bridge was a very important access way from Lapu Lapu to Mandaue. How are people managing now that the bridge is damaged? Do remember when the big earthquake came to California? That was when a bridge to San Francisco was damaged and could not be used until repaired. During that time there were many little boats carrying people to and from San Francisco to work. And supplies to and from the city had to travel much farther distances as trucks used alternate routes. I am so glad to havr received Guen most recent letter. ad to travel much farth
