Installing Guimo -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Make a directory in your hard disk executing "MD \GUIMO". Enter in Guimo's directory using "CD \GUIMO". Uncompress file using "PKUNZIP A:GUIMO!", where "A:" is the floppy disk drive with Guimo's disks (can be "B:"). To execute Guimo, use "GUIMO". -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 2. What is Guimo? -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Guimo is a plataform game based in the autonomous agents tecnology originated from the Artificial Inteligence Research. In this game the player is invited to enjoy an enviroment inhabited by other entities (the enemies) which must interact. The agents controled by the computer show specifics behaviors and are able to cooperate to reach the satisfaction of their desires (attack and scape). -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 3. Game Rules -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- In this first beta test version the player must fight against the invasor enemy army :) and destroy their bosses, The four tanks, with the help of its friends, the clowns. To reach the tanks, however, the player has to find other elements, like a coin that activate a cetain jumper and a key that opens an special door. The controls are: - Directions: direction keys or key pad ([8] up, [5] or [2] down,[4] left,[6] right). - Fire: space bar. - Friend Invocation: down key and space bar simultaneously. - Photo-Pause: [p] key - InGame Graphic Detail: [F1] key - Cheat Mode: contact us if you want a cheat mode!!! -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 4. Features -=-=-=-=-=-=-=- The most important features of the game are: - totaly non-deterministic, each playing section is unique; - a smart camera that always focuses the best position of the action; - the stereo sound system with panning and independent volume on each speaker; - the action provided by the own game conception in which the player has the same conditions of the enemies; - its big level maps; - sound card auto-detection and configuration. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- 5. This Version -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- This version brings a sample of four mounths of our work. In which we have produced pratically all of the code needed for a final version.
